i feel fortunate.
just read from the sunday times earlier this evening about joan chan, this ex-rgs and rj girl, who is currently battling the final stage of tongue cancer. she's so young and smart, and no doubt has a bright and promising future ahead.
"i will not give up till the very end and i hope i will be remembered in your hearts as a fighter always."
i've been really troubled this past month, especially lately. and i thought this is one of the hardest choices to make. but compared to her problem, mine's almost equal to nothing. at least i have a chance to live the life i want to live, and do what i wanna do. i'm glad that i'm given the opportunity to choose and decide what i want the next stage of my life to be. and i'm almost sure that this opportunity will provide the best for me.
from choosing jcs, i've already understood that we can't possibly have the best of both worlds. and this decision has made me realize the essence of that phrase even more. we give some, we take some, and we can never have everything we dream of having - that's just life, isn't it? filled with choices.
and today, i've made a decision concerning the next 4 years (and possibly more) of my life. even though i regret not being able to graduate with my class and friends, not being able to get back A level results with them and cry together (in joy i hope), i believe my choice will give me what i need and make me a step closer to achieving and fulfilling my dreams.
family ties and friends have always been a very important aspect of my life, cos i know i'll always have the support of my loved ones, no matter what. and to whoever i know who's reading this, you know you'll always have mine too. no matter where i am, or where i'll be going, i'll always cherish my family and friends and not forget my roots.
to my pw group - pearl, zhanyong, taiming, sean (if you all ever see this)
i'm sorry i won't be able to endure the pw experience with you all. and thanks for thinking so highly of my idea! =D i'll still try to help you all in whatever ways i can, regardless of whether you all decide to continue using my idea or not. after all, our group's values include peace-loving and we are a team. hope you all will remember our values forever yeah!! jiayou and work hard towards that a1! you all have my blessing =)
